Pak Jamhuriat is a monthly Urdu magazine of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of Pakistan published by the Directorate of Electronic Media and Publications (DEMP) with a history dating back to 1962. Over the period of more than half a century, the sole purpose of the magazine is to create mass awareness by delivering news and analysis, projecting government’s policies and promoting national narratives. Pak Jamhuriat provides insight to its readers about the geo-political environment in and around Pakistan.

Pak Jamhuriat was initially launched in 1962 from Karachi as weekly to promote the concept of democracy in Pakistan with a wide readership of 80 thousand readers across the country. The magazine grew with Pakistan and had been covering all historical events since 1962. Facing some severe bad patches in different eras, Pak Jamhuriat made it to 2022. Pak Jamhuriat turned into a monthly magazine in 1986 with its headquarters shifted to Lahore.

Today, Pak Jamhuriat, with a balanced opinion and widespread distribution across the nation, works to project national narrative, foreign policy, on going national projects and our culture.
